Garage Sale-ing

This morning my grandma came over and stayed with the three boys so I could go with my babysitter Lori and check out some garage sales. I was in the hunt for a bumbo seat for Ashton and a high chair. Unfortunately, we only saw 2 highchairs. They were both really dirty and the lady wanted $35 each. That's more than I wanted to pay, since they were both used. And I never saw a seat for him.

The whole trip was not a bust, though. Lori got a double stroller (she is pregnant with her 2nd and has a 14 mo old) for $15. I picked up a table saw and stand with a pack of new blades, a hand-cranked ice cream maker, and a smoker-grill for $27. I am so psyched about the ice cream maker! I bought an electric one a while back and it has never worked properly. Jabon and I have talked about getting a wooden barreled hand-cranked one, but they were selling for over $100 online. I can't wait to make ice cream now!!

New job means new clothes

I start my new job the first of February. I am really excited about it and feel like it will be a great place to work. The dress code is business casual. I had this same dress code at my last job but since I have been nursing Ashton, none of my tops fit me. So, Jabon and I loaded all the kids up and went to the mall in search of some new work clothes for me.

I absolutely hate shopping for clothes. It seems like nothing fits me, or it's too expensive. So, I said a little prayer that I could find some clothes and only spend close to $100. I ended up having a great shopping experience! I got a new pair of black slacks and 6 different tops, and everything was on sale. The original prices would have been $255.99 plus taxes, but I scored everything for $113.72 including taxes! And, I shopped at Macy's and Dillard's. I am totally thrilled!
